Operation Care Package

BOURBONNAIS, IL – Starting today, November 9, 2013 and going through Monday November 11, 2013 for every oil change and/or test drive completed Court Street will donate one (1) care package to the troops. We will be working with Operation Care Package, a not for profit organization based in Joliet, Illinois.

In 2013, Operation Care Package, marked its 10th year making sure that no deployed here goes without mail. Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airmen are supported by the organization with care packages as well as letters of encouragement. According the the Operation Care Package Webpage the organization was formed in March of 2003 by Debbie Smothers, Debbie Durawa and Pat Curran. All three have family that have served in the Army and have been deployed over seas.  “Some of the soldiers don’t receive anything in the mail, and they exist on little supplies,” said Smothers. “I don’t think any of them should go without something from mail call.”

You can find more information on Operation Care Package on the web at Operation Care Package. They also have a facebook page setup here.
