Drive 4 UR School Kankakee HIgh School: Huge Success!

Kankakee Drive One Thank you copyPartly Cloudy, Windy, and forty-nine degrees was not ideal weather, but it didn’t stop parents, teachers, students and the rest of the community from stopping by the Drive 4 UR School event at Kankakee High School April 21st.  People were lining up all afternoon and evening to test drive the hottest new Ford vehicles and help to raise money for KHS.  Many more people also signed up to have their vehicles inspected by our quick lane, to donate additional money for the school.

All of our cars all lined up and ready to drive!

The most popular vehicles were by far the F-150’s and Mustangs.  The lines were stretching across the parking lot while people waited to take a test drive for themselves.  The Ford Escape, the Fusion and C-Max Hybrids were also extremely popular.  Many participant’s eyes were lighting up as they revved up a Mustang for the first time, or felt the comfort and luxury as they stepped into the King Ranch’s massaging seats.  Drivers were also surprised by the fuel efficiency and quietness of Ford’s Hybrid line up, or the size and comfort of the Expedition.  Every Ford vehicle had its chance to shine.

While on their test drive, many participants opted to have their vehicle inspected by our quick lane.  They received a free inspection by our certified technicians, and were provided with free expert service advice at the end of their visit.  The inspection included light, fluid, belt/hose, and tire checks for both wear and tire pressure.  Our certified Techs would even fill any tires with low pressure!

On top of all the great test drives, and free inspections, test drivers were also given free “goodie bags” for their time.  These bags included candy, cookies, key chains, water bottles, and coupons which were graciously donated by several area businesses.  It is hard to beat a test drive in a new Ford, a free vehicle inspection, AND free stuff!20150421_101401

The official count has not been received from Ford yet, but preliminary numbers put the participants at over 300 for test drives and 87 for quick lane inspections.  That’s over $6000 for Kankakee High School!  The Drive 4 UR school event was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who volunteered.  We could not have had the results we had without all of your hard work and dedication.
