Introducing Sync 3: 10 New Features and Upgrades


In 2007 Ford’s Sync technology was introduced to the world, and as a result has completely how customers interact with their handheld technology while driving.  Sync utilized advancements in Bluetooth, smart phone, and other digital device technology to create a safe, hands free system to operate while driving.  Since its initial release, Sync has gone through several upgrades as well, eventually becoming MyFord Touch and Sync 2 which allowed the sync system to work with navigation, climate control, and several other features.  Now Ford has made using your device to control your media and vehicles functions even more enjoyable and convenient with the new Ford Sync 3.

Here is a list of several new features to be included in the new Sync 3:

– New Hardware Meets New Software

Find an easy-to-read color touch screen that conveniently displays Phone, Audio, and available Navigation functions all on your homCapturee screen.

– High Speed Performance

Sync 3 offers even quicker reactions to your commands.  From a light tap on the touch screen to simple voice commands, Sync 3 delivers at an impressive speed.

– New Screen Features

Sync 3 includes a more responsive touch screen with a new “swipe” feature similar to the touch screen on your smart phone.

– Enhanced voice recognition

Capture2Talk with simple real world commands and the system responds naturally to your voice.  No longer will you have to say “Phone, call mom” but simply “Call Mom”.

– Easy Destination Entry

Locate your favorite restaurants, nearby gas stations or ATMS and moreCapture7 with simple destination entry either through voice commands, or the touch screen’s keyboard.

– Siri Seamless Integration

Siri and all of her associated features will be fully integrated into the new Sync 3.  This allows for even more options for IPhone users to interact with their vehicle.

– Automatic updates over Wi-Fi

Capture14Keep Sync 3 up to date with the latest software as updates become available over a Wi-Fi connection!  No more downloading to a USB and installing!

– Updated Applink

– Improved Charging abilities

A new more powerful USB port, that provides up to 2 amps of power; more than enough to adequately charge a tablet or multiple smart phones.  Previous chargers provided 500 milliamps of power.
