CAS 2016

Tomorrow, 9 am, McCormick Place. Be there…

If you don’t already know, the Chicago Auto Show begins bright and early tomorrow morning. It’s an incredible time of the year for auto enthusiasts who finally have the chance to physically see all the excitement they’ve been hearing about.

This year, Ford is rolling out a very impressive lineup that you absolutely need to go check out some of the vehicles hitting the showroom floor over the next few days.

Debuting at this years auto show is the 2017 Escape that now includes auto start-stop as standard on two new ecoboost engines. Some of the latest technology will also be included on the Escape, for example an enhanced active park assist, lane keeping aid, hill-start assists, driver alert system, and collision warning with brake support.

“The 2017 Escape is the first Ford vehicle in the world with SYNC Connect that enables customers to unlock and lock their doors, start the engine, even locate vehicle through the smartphone app.” -Ford Motor Company

The 2017 Fusion will also be seen for the first time this year, and will have a different look than in previous years. The front of the vehicles has received a face lift, providing a friendlier look as past models have been noted to give a look of yelling at customers. There will also be a new twin turbocharged 2.7 L Ecoboost V-6 available, packing 324 hp and 350 lb-ft.

The real crown jewel of this years lineup though is the 2017 Ford Raptor. After being brought back from extinction, this vehicle has a lot to be excited about. The new 3.5 L Ecoboost will come standard and produce between 450-500 hp, and do it more efficiently than the 6.2 L V-8 that was used on the previous model.

This is a very small sampling of what you’ll be able to see over the next week or so. This post is really meant to be an appetizer, and to really do any of these vehicles justice you need to stop by McCormick Place! I guarantee you’ll have a great time!
